What is the impact of coaching and mentoring?
In Finland, 94% of CEOs in listed companies have a degree in economics or engineering. Nevertheless, the people in their organisations are neither machines nor numbers.
Leading is people business. Tomorrowโs leaders are increasingly dealing with uncertainty and rapid change which requires strong emotional leadership qualities including self-awareness, empathy, motivation and social skills. To be able to lead successfully and drive the performance of teams and organisations, a better understanding of behavioural science is needed.
Henley Business School and the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) Finland are together organising an event, where we will discuss the impact of coaching and mentoring on leadership qualities. Professor Jonathan Passmore, Director of The Henley Centre for Coaching at Henley Business School, will review the latest research and thinking in coaching and cover questions such as: Does coaching really offer individuals and organisations an advantage? When should organisations be using coaching and when are other interventions better?
In addition, Elina Bjรถrklund, CEO at Reima, will open up how different forms of mentoring have helped her to grow as a leader and consequently to execute the growth strategy of Reima.
Welcome to discover the power of coaching and mentoring in leadership development!
