The third and closing event in our artificial intelligence (AI) series focuses on the personal experience of future business strategies and development trends at the workplace. Personal branding is becoming ever more important as is the development of skills and the requirement of increased knowledge particularly in relationship management. Organised together with the recruitment agency MPS, participants will enjoy a chance to speak from personal experience and interact with recruiters during the networking part of the session to discuss possibly job developments and opportunities.
About the topic
Artificial Intelligence as well as automation via AI and robotics are expected to revolutionise the way we currently perceive the concepts of ‘occupation’ and ‘careers’. We expect to witness the disappearance of jobs and positions we still take for granted at the moment while at the same time await this revolution to create a completely new set of work we may not be able to foresee yet.
About the event
Kicking off this breakfast event, we first focus on the future of competences. VTT research professor Heikki Allisto will share his extensive knowledge from current academic thinking around AI and talk about his insights on the skills and knowledge we may need in the future. While AI may on the surface be all about technology, software and technical skills, what will happen to business skills such as relationship management, creativity and communication skills? What is it that will make us humans stand out from the crowd in a word full of AI?
In the second part of the event, we turn our sight to perceptions of competence. The demand for talent will not diminish and both, organisations as well as individuals will continue to face fierce competition. Is it possible to have the cake and eat it too? Brilliant strategies in personal branding and the development of strategic skills become ever more important to conquer international job markets for employers as well as employees.
