HR functions sometimes struggle to articulate what organisational development is, let alone the value that it can provide to organisations. But organisations need organisational development more than ever, not just for long term capability development but also for tangible, measureable organisational performance improvement in short timescales. In this masterclass, you will learn how to define and position the contribution of organisational development in your organisation and understand the skills requirements and their implications for you and your HR function.
Businesses talk about Strategic Workforce Planning a lot, but do they know what it actually means and are they really doing it? This workshop, run by Nick Kemsley, co-director of the Centre for HR Excellence at Henley Business School, sets out the key elements of effective Strategic Workforce Planning and up-skills participants in how to create a step change in the value they add in this space.
Effective HR Business Partnering Masterclasses
The Effective HR Business Partnering Masterclasses cover a range of topics from the more behavioural and attitudinal side of partnering excellence, to building specific knowledge around OD, talent management, HR metrics and performance. They offer a stimulating mix of input, exploration and peer discussion.
The Effective HR Business Partnering Masterclass Part 1 is for both new and experienced HR Business Partners, Consultants and Managers. It focuses on understanding the business partner role, building credibility and trust, partnering attitudes and developing commercial acumen. Participants will leave having explored their own strengths against a best practice, research-validated benchmark, with a strong foundation upon which to continue to develop their partnering capability.
The Effective HR Business Partnering Masterclass Part 2 focuses on the wider knowledge and skills that an HR Business Partner must nowadays be able to access and add value to, such as talent identification and review, performance management, succession planning and the effective use of HR metrics. Designed to build upon the foundation created by Part 1, Part 2 can also stand alone and will appeal to those wanting to build their expertise in these specific and increasingly critical content areas.
