About Henley

Bringing business to life.

We are proud to be different. Henley is about much more than just education. We stand out from the pack, think the unexpected and put people first. We offer the opportunity to live, breathe, practice and create business.

We empower future-focused leaders who carve their own paths towards a better tomorrow. Henley participants donโ€™t just learn a list of facts and theories. They develop and apply their learning to real-life situations, examining issues around ethics and sustainability and building an understanding of the wider global impact of business on society. This creates responsible leaders with strong business acumen who have a wider perspective โ€“ leaders equipped to make business better.

Our courses and programmes are designed with the latest industry knowledge, cutting-edge research and commercial acumen. Experienced professionals can benefit from the excellent, inspirational learning experience โ€“ whether thatโ€™s an MBA, a DBA or executive education.

Our history

The rich history of Henley Business School spans more than seven decades.

Henley Business School was established at Greenlands in Henley, UK, at the end of the second World War. It aimed to bring together both public and private sector employees from across the country to promote โ€˜the exchange of ideas to mutual advantageโ€™ and develop their skills for the future. Over the years, both the programmes offered and the individuals attending have diversified. The Henley MBA was launched in 1985, and shortly thereafter, Henley began the journey towards becoming a truly international school.

Since 1986, Henley Business School has conducted the Henley MBA in Finland. Later, the offering in Finland has been complemented by several open executive education programmes and customised programmes for corporate clients.

Our vision

A truly international business school which aims to provide an excellent learning experience through world-class research and thinking.

Through our sense of community responsibility, we develop ethically grounded leaders. We help our students by using our strong networks and the breadth and depth of our industry relationships.

Regardless of where you are in your journey, Henley Business Schoolโ€™s innovative approach can deliver measurable results to help you reach your goals. We can equip you with the tools and qualifications to develop and succeed in changing and challenging times.

This vision is underpinned by Henleyโ€™s core values:

  • The learner and their continued development are central to what we do
  • Character and integrity are as important as capability
  • Wealth creation is important for society as a whole not just for individuals
  • Building management and leadership capability builds both wealth and the welfare of society

Selected programmes, such as the Henley Executive MBA, Professional Certificate in Executive Coaching and the Boardroom Skills programme are conducted locally in Finland. The workshops with our world-class faculty from the UK and the International Fellow Network take place in the city centre of Helsinki.

Henley Business School is a triple-accredited business school and part of the University of Reading, an academic institution ranked within the top 200 universities worldwide. With campuses, offices and partnerships around the world, over 7,000 students from more than 100 countries and over 80,000 alumni from 180 countries, we are a truly international institution.
