Greetings from the Henley summer event 2022

Keep calm & carry on!

The Helsinki summer weather treated us nicely on Tuesday, 16 August 2022 as we gathered in the British Embassy with approximately 90 alumni members to network, hear interesting speeches and honor all 2022 graduates from the Henley Executive MBA, with a special ceremony for the ones with distinction.

As we all know, in the current, very turbulent world situation, the only constant is change. This was also pointed out by the excellent speakers, Nina Elomaa, SVP of Sustainability at S-Group and Kirsti Bourret, Deputy Head of Mission at the British Embassy. However, both of them also insisted we should all keep on moving and looking into the future with confidence.

The next face-to-face networking opportunity will be at the afterwork gathering on 8 September 2022 at restaurant VENN Helsinki.

And if you missed the summer event and meeting the Henley alumni board members, you can find the names, faces and contact info on the website. We welcome all feedback and suggestions – looking forward to hearing from you!

Pia Aaltonen-Forsell is CFO of Outokumpu, the largest stainless steal producer in Europe. She does not have the most obvious background for a CFO: she is Master of Social Sciences in economics. She thinks that her background is a great asset, since as a CFO you need to understand the economy in general, not just business.

Not a corporate presentation, yet interesting discussions on professional matters. Beer and wine for sure, but not just that.
