Leading Edge: How to unleash your inner coach

In this episode, Professor Jonathan Passmore explains how coaching can be useful to every member of an organisation, focussing on fulfilling potential rather than relentless skill building. He also describes how coaching can allow us to move away from โ€˜directiveโ€™ leadership and make way for individuals to express their creativity and resourcefulness. He explains that executive coaching is a universal tool to support people across organisations to help them develop and he discusses the additional challenges when you must carry out coaching conversations online.

Listen to Jonathanโ€™s episode to hear him discuss these topics:

  • Looking beyond someoneโ€™s skill set โ€“ what are their values and aims?
  • The role of silence in the workplace
  • Coaching as a decision-making tool
