Miro Malmelin starts as Business Unit Director for Executive Education

This week Henley Business School gained a new professional with an impressive track record of knowing what works for corporate clients

โ€œIโ€™m happy to be back developing leadership in organisations,โ€ says Miro Malmelin about his brand-new role at Henley Business School to head up their executive education programmes โ€“ a role he has excelled at for other leadership development providers in Finland and abroad. โ€œAfter a healthy year-and-a-half break from the executive education business as Chief Sales Officer at the Nordic Business Forum, itโ€™s quite refreshing to start again in this role of building customised education and leadership programmes for companies,โ€ he says.

Henley Finland together with the Executive Education team in Henley-on-Thames, UK, add value to the local market by bringing over exceptional faculty with academic and applied knowledge. Miro will be working directly with organisations, listening to the clientโ€™s needs and co-creating each programme with them.

โ€œMy aim is to work closely with clients to take their executive development to the next level. Over the years of working with numerous companies, Iโ€™ve become pretty good at understanding what works and ensuring return on investments for corporate clients,” Miro says with a smile.

โ€œIโ€™ve always found it fascinating to learn about different companies and help the leaders as individuals โ€“ as well as their companies as a whole โ€“ to develop and accelerate their growth. Each project is different. And I feel I learn something new each time and can also improve my own performance on an individual level,โ€ he says.

As to why Henley, he explains: โ€œI love executive education. Itโ€™s something I really get excited about. My new position combines the challenges and opportunities I appreciate โ€“ yet now for one of the leading executive education providers globally. Iโ€™m truly looking forward to developing Henleyโ€™s customised programmes using my prior experience combined with the expertise of the Henley team.

โ€œNothing less for us than to provide true excellence,โ€ Miro emphasises. โ€œI aim to reach the highest customer satisfaction in the market and put Henley top-of-mind when it comes to the best solutions โ€“ to grow our brand awareness in Finland .โ€

Heโ€™s also pleased to now be part of the Henley family, with its world-class faculty, innovative design and top delivery models. Miro is looking forward to the organisationโ€™s support in serving the Finnish market โ€“ being open to understanding the local business conditions while bringing in the best of what works internationally.

โ€œIโ€™m ready to put the power of Henley Business School to work serving corporate customers here in Finland,โ€ he states enthusiastically.

Besides being passionate about executive education, Miro loves to travel and spend time outside work playing tennis and going to the gym. Another big love in his life is his wife and family of three children, all under the age of six.
