Henley climbs 25 places in Financial Times rankings!

due: 27 December 2011

We are delighted to announce that Henley Business School has climbed 25 places to number 33 in the Financial Times European Business School ranking 2011.

This is a composite ranking based on schools' positions in the FT's other rankings, including the FT EMBA ranking, the FT Business Education open and custom programmes rankings, the FT Global MBA and the FT Masters in Management ranking.

This ranking firmly places Henley in the top 20 European business schools for EMBA salaries (and for percentage increase in those salaries, with 69%) and for Executive Education. It also reaffirms an aspect of the School's diversity, which is reflected in the measure that 36% of faculty are female. Henley has the third highest percentage of female faculty among UK based business schools.

Professor John Board, Dean of Henley Business School, said: 'This result, a rise of 25 places in the European Business School rankings is a very welcome end to the year. With the continued support of alumni and faculty we will persist in further demonstrating Henley's values which are reflected in rankings where Henley participates. Henley is a top UK, European and world class business school, a reputation it richly deserves.'

For more detailed information on the ranking please visit the Financial Times website.

Henley Business School ranks highly in worldwide ranking!

due: 24 October 2011

In the Economist full-time MBA ranking published in October 2011, Henley Business School once again confirmed its lead in two categories coming No. 1 in the world for ‘Student quality' and ‘Potential to network'.

The Business School places great emphasis on personal development throughout the programme ranked in the world's top 20 for ‘Personal Development' (15th) and for ‘Post- MBA salaries' (13th). Henley also moved up 8 places for "Quality of our faculty" and improved their position in the category of ‘International student diversity' by 16 places.

Overall, Henley Business School ranked 57th worldwide - a result that was significantly influenced by the limited use of their Careers Services during a time of transition for the Business School.

Henley Business School Dean John Board said: "Over the past year the Management Team at Henley have addressed several issues which impact the MBA and specifically around careers. We have re-focused Henley's MBA portfolio, launched an exclusive online recruitment tool "MBAHeadhunter" and established a mentor programme for students thanks to our extensive alumni network. We look forward to strengthening our international reputation even further in the years to come and to see this endorsed by the rankings in future years."

MBA students started their journey

due: 13 October 2011

A group of new MBA students, FN10, gathered in September for a kick off-day at Hirvihaara mansion. After a long and informative day, the students were divided in teams and each team was in charge of one dinner course. The meal was prepared in outdoor kitchens, which also added to the challenge.

A week later they went to Greenlands in Henley-on-Thames where they got the first touch of what studying for the Henley MBA is all about. The students were quite happy with their first impressions and were motivated to start working on their first assignment.

We wish you all good luck with your studies!
